Contract Chairs
Contract chairs built for the floor, not the showroom
A dining chair in a busy restaurant is sat in, dragged, stacked and wiped down hundreds of times a week. We manufacture chairs for exactly that life — and design them so nobody in the room would guess.
The joint is the chair
Almost every contract chair that fails, fails at the joint between leg and seat frame. Ours are built with the frame as one considered structure rather than a set of parts screwed together late in the process, because a chair that loosens in month eight is a chair the operator replaces in year two. It is the least visible decision we make and the one that decides whether the piece lasts.

Specified for the room it goes into
Stackable or fixed, upholstered or wood-seated, arms or none — the same chair family is specified differently for a hotel breakfast room than for a bar. We hold the frame and change what needs changing: seat height for counter or table, fabric rubs for the traffic you expect, finishes chosen against the floor and the light rather than off a chart.

Made to order, in our own factory
We are the manufacturer. Frames are cut, assembled, finished and upholstered under one roof in northern Portugal, which is why we can quote a genuine lead time and tailor a piece to a project instead of asking the project to fit a catalogue. Ten chairs or a thousand, the answer comes from the people who will actually build them.

Frequently asked questions
- What makes a chair a contract chair?
- Contract chairs are engineered for commercial use — heavier frames, reinforced joints, upholstery rated for high rub counts, and finishes that survive daily cleaning. Domestic chairs are built for a fraction of the wear and will not hold up in a restaurant or hotel.
- Do you make stackable contract chairs?
- Yes. Several of our families stack, which matters for banqueting, function rooms and any space that has to be cleared and reset. We will tell you the realistic stack height for the specific chair rather than a best-case number.
- Can chairs be upholstered in our own fabric?
- Yes — customer’s own material is routine on contract projects. We will also advise whether the fabric you have chosen is rated for the traffic in that space before it goes into production, not after.
- What are the minimum order quantities?
- There is no fixed minimum. We manufacture to order, so the practical question is lead time rather than volume — small specification runs and full multi-site rollouts both go through the same factory.
