Marques & Silva Lda. is governed by the highest ethical standards of honesty and integrity.

Despite all prevention and control mechanisms already in place and the broad compliance concerns currently enforced and continuously updated, no organisation is immune to the risk of unlawful activities occurring. If such activities are not promptly identified, they may seriously harm not only the organisation and any individuals involved, but also the public interest itself.

This is the case, in particular, with conduct that may jeopardise the environment, public health, public safety, consumer rights, the protection of personal privacy and network security, or that may involve the abusive use of public funds, money laundering practices, or violent and organised crime.

People who work within organisations or maintain a professional relationship with them are often the first to detect unlawful activities, or at least to suspect that they may exist.

It is important that these individuals feel encouraged to report such situations without fearing any form of retaliation.

With this objective in mind, and in compliance with Law No. 93/2021 of 20 December, the entities and institutions within Marques & Silva Lda. have created internal whistleblowing channels for reporting infringements, encouraging anyone who becomes aware of irregularities in the course of their professional relationship with any group entity or institution to report them, since such situations might otherwise go undetected.

Marques & Silva Lda. is committed to ensuring the confidentiality of whistleblowers’ identities, protecting them against any act of retaliation, investigating all reports submitted, and acting diligently to put an end to any irregular situation that may be identified.
